Below are some links for the new TN Comprehensive School Counseling Model. The model and standards are projected to be fully implemented beginning the 2018-2019 school year.
Services Provided by the School Counselor
Classroom
lessons are provided to all students once per week during each
homeroom's Related Arts period. We discuss topics such as
responsibility, empathy, friendships, and career/college readiness.
Small
groups are used for students who need a little extra attention on a
variety of topics such as grief, social skills, study skills, worry, and
leadership.
Individual
counseling can be provided for those students needing one-on-one
assistance for short-term solution-focused counseling.
I collaborate and consult with school faculty, families, and community members to provide the services needed for our students.
If you feel your student needs regular one-on-one therapy, please feel free to contact me. I will be more than happy to provide you with resources of local therapists who would be able to provide long-term therapy services.
If you have a concern about your student or about your student visiting the school counselor, please feel free to contact me.
