I have had the opportunity to teach in several grade levels... Kindergarten (1 year), First, Second (1 year), and Fifth grade. I spent 7 years in First Grade and loved each day! I left First Grade (14-15) and moved to Third Grade to teach Social Studies and Science. I am now beginning my 6th year in 3rd grade ~ ELA. It is such an honor to teach children and be such an important part of their lives. Thank you for sharing them with me! I count it as an honor to be an Educator!
Mount Carmel Elementary is a wonderful place to teach and I am Blessed each day! I look forward to spending each day with my friends ~ students and staff!
I am married to my husband, Joe, and we have one daughter, Katie Brooke. She graduated from Volunteer High School and attended Walters State where she played softball! The 2 years she attended WS was wonderful! Her academic work was very successful; as well as her time playing softball. She had the opportunity to go to Utah and play in the World Series National Championship! Joe and I were able to go and experience this exciting time with her. We had so much fun and got to see a lot of exciting places! The ladies finished 9th in the nation! We are so proud of her and all of the team! Walters State was a wonderful experience for our family. Katie went on to finish her degree at King University. She continued her softball career and won the Conference Carolina /Tournament Championship her junior year. This qualified the team to play in the NCAA Softball Tournament. It was another wonderful and exciting two years! Katie graduated with her Bachelor's Degree in 2019 and continued on to receive her MBA in 2020. She had the opportunity to be on the softball coaching staff during this time. She is planning to pursue coaching at the collegiate level. My cousin, Robbie, has recently joined our family. Robbie is 52 years old and has Downs Syndrome. He has always been a big part of all of my family and we all love him much! He brings much joy to our family.
