I am a native of Hawkins County and was fortunate to have been a student at Mt. Carmel Elementary, Church Hill Middle, and Volunteer High School.  I graduated from East Tennessee State University with a B.S. in education and have certifications in Biology (grades 7-12), General Science (grades 7-12) and Library (grades K-12).

 

Experience

While attending college, I worked in the library at East Tennessee State University and stayed on several more years after graduating.  Upon getting married, I moved to Forth Worth, Texas where I taught at a Montessori Preschool for three years.  My husband and I moved back to Hawkins County in 1996 and I have been the librarian at Mt. Carmel Elementary ever since.

My wonderful family consists of my husband Wayne and our two sons Abram and Titus.  In my spare time, I enjoy reading (Imagine that!) and watching movies.
