In 1996, I graduated from Sullivan North High School.  I then attended East Tennessee State University where I received my Bachelors Degree in Modified and Comprehensive Special Education.  In 2005, I received my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Special Education from East Tennessee State University as well.  I am currently pursuing my Doctorate of Education from Liberty University in Curriculum and Instruction in Special Education
Hello, My name is Valerie Miller.  I am certified to teach Special Education from birth through adulthood.  This is my 21st year as a Special Education Teacher.  I have taught Elementary Special Education at Carters Valley Elementary School, High school Special Education at Cherokee High School and Preschool Special Education at Mt. Carmel Elementary School.  I LOVE being a preschool teacher.
I graduated High School in 1996 from Sullivan North.  In 2000, I received my Bachelor's of Science Degree at East Tennessee State University in Modified and Comprehensive Special Education K-adulthood and my Master's of Education at East Tennessee State University in Special Ed. birth to Preschool in 2005. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate Degree from Liberty University in Curriculum and Instruction in Special Education.
My husband of 20years, Mike is a Physical Education teacher at Joseph Rogers Primary also in the Hawkins County School System.  I have two sons, Heath who is a Junior at Volunteer High School and, Aiden who will be in 6th grade at the Intermediate School this year.
I enjoy spending time with my family, playing in the SNOW with my boys (winter is my favorite time of the year), gardening, watching my boys play sports and going to UT football and basketball games.
