Hawkins County Schools will be closed Tuesday, February 3 and Wednesday, February 4 due to road conditions throughout the county.

District Announcement: Walter's State Community College TAG Program cancelled for Saturday, January 31, 2026.

District Announcement: Due to the Winter Storm Warning and predicted heavy snowfall, Hawkins County Schools will be CLOSED tomorrow, Friday, January 30.

Your students will be coming home with a reading for education lanyard today.  There are instructions on the card as to how to sign up.  You can scan the QR code or go to RFE.net.    After you complete all the steps and send out the email invitations, you will receive a prize code.  Please fill out their card with student name, grade and teacher along with their prize code and return to school for your student to receive a book buddy.  Thanks so much for participating in this fundraiser to benefit our school.

The related arts team at CVES recently was recognized by Mr. Hixon and central office staff with "Dream Team" awards. They were nominated for their commitment to improving our chronic absenteeism numbers at CVES. This team is always willing to help out whenever and wherever they are needed!
